Lost Novohrad´s embroidery

The collection is based on authentic embroidery originating from the villages of Lešť and Turie Pole. These villages no longer exist. National museum and gallery (NMG) in Lučenec managed to collect and archive these authentic embroidery pieces. Thanks to the efforts of NMG to save a piece of Novohrad’s past, the unique embroidery patterns from Lešť and Turie Pole could be preserved for future generations. This is one of the reasons why “Stratený Novohrad” – “lost Novohrad” will never become “forgotten”.
