In the land of wild flowers

“Woman and flower, or flower and woman, there is no difference, for their names are interwoven...” Ján Smrek The beauty of Slovakia’s nature became my main source of inspiration for this collection. The collection is dedicated to the charm of our forests, fields, mountains, and lakes, and it depicts a wide range of flowers in various stylised forms — red poppies, bluebells, lilies of the valley, snowdrops, wild roses, cornflowers, daisies, forget-me-nots, and many more. Apart from the flower itself, I also found inspiration for designing the red poppy collection in the folk embroidery of my home region, Horehronie, in particular embroidery from the villages of Telgárt and Šumiac.
